New Delhi: Union minister of state for science and technology Jitendra Singh has announced the discovery of 1,600 tonnes of lithium resources in Karnataka by the Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD). This discovery, located in the Marlagalla area of Mandya district, represents a significant find for India’s renewable energy sector. The announcement was made in a written reply to an unstarred question in the Rajya Sabha.
